Resilience

A backup you have not restored is only a hope

Backups fail silently: jobs stop, storage fills up, credentials change, and ransomware increasingly targets backup copies first. Many businesses discover the problem only when they need to restore.

Peritas designs backup around your recovery objectives, keeps copies isolated from attackers, monitors every job and regularly proves that data can be restored.

What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?

Keep at least three copies of your data, on two different types of storage, with one copy off-site. Today we also recommend one copy that is immutable or offline so ransomware cannot encrypt it.

How often should we test restores?

Test a sample of restores every month and a full recovery of a critical system at least twice a year.

Can Peritas monitor our backups?

Yes—see Managed Backup for monitoring, alerts, restore checks and recovery planning.

Let's talk

Will your backups work when you need them?

Our backup review checks coverage, isolation, job health and restore readiness.
